Dec. 20-Jan 7: REGISTRATION FOR STAFF and their CHILDREN opens.  Contact us at director@camptag-a-long.org for information. All fees due at the time of registration.

Adult Staff Members: You must complete the adult volunteer application through Survey Monkey in order to receive the discount code and registration link. If you would like to volunteer, and/or if you have not received an email by Dec. 20 with the staff child discount code and registration link, please email the Directors at director@camptag-a-long.org.

February 16, 2022 @ 10:00 am: GENERAL REGISTRATION for Campers and Aides opens online.  All fees due at the time of registration. PLACEMENT is first-come, first-served through GSCNC’s online registration system! Technical issues during registration? Contact customercare@gscnc.org.

Aides:  After an aide registers and we have received registration data from GSCNC, the Directors will email a link to our aide placement survey. This questionnaire must be completed by March 15.

ADDITIONAL DATES FOR STAFF (ADULTS & CAMP AIDES)

MANDATORY TRAINING FOR ADULTS AND AIDES

All adult staff and teen aides must attend a pre-camp training/orientation session. At your training session, we will have a short presentation on Camp Tag-A-Long and answer any questions you might have about volunteering/aiding at Camp Tag-A-Long.

ADULTS and AIDES

TRAINING: Training is required, as are any planning meetings with your team!

Returning adult volunteers have 2 options for spring training:

1. They can attend online training on March 3 at 7 pm on Zoom. This will be a FULL session to accommodate our new volunteers.

OR

2. They can attend the aide training in person on March 20 from 2-4 pm at Camp Potomac Woods (Kresge). We’ll cover need-to-know info and important updates and you’ll get to meet with the volunteers and aides you’ll be working with all at the same time! This can count for your unit/center team meeting.

New adult volunteers have 1 option for spring training: March 3 at 7 pm on Zoom.  New adult volunteers are invited to join us on Sunday, March 20, but it will not count as your spring training – it’s just a bonus opportunity to meet other staff and the teens you’ll be working with in August! We’ll dive into everything in more detail on March 3 and give you time for all your questions!

Please note:

  1. We are asking at least one adult volunteer from every unit/center to attend to meet with your volunteers. We invite all other adult volunteers to come to help with the training if they are available.
  2. If you are a returning adult volunteer and you attend the aide training, this will count as your spring training.
  3. This will not count as spring training for new volunteers. New volunteers will still need to attend training on March 3 at 7 pm on Zoom.

We will also have a mandatory all-staff meeting on Sunday, Aug. 7 at 4 pm, at Camp Potomac Woods, Kresge Dining Hall. At this meeting, we will cover last-minute information, important reminders, and any outstanding questions.  Unit and Center volunteers and aides can meet and set-up from 2:30-4:00 pm and after the meeting until 6:30 pm, if needed.  Gates will close at 6:30 pm.  Please coordinate set-up time with the Directors in advance of Sunday’s meeting.
